Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning of Islamic Education in Public Universities in Bengkulu Province. This research was designed as a qualitative descriptive study. The research respondents are students who have taken PAI courses and caregivers for PAI courses at the University of Bengkulu and at the University of Prof.Dr. Hazairin, SH. Bengkulu. At the University of Bengkulu, research respondents will be taken from the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, while in Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH. Bengkulu will be taken from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Engineering. Respondents from the student element were set at 100 people, with details of 50 people from each university. The results of the research and discussion are as follows: a) The strategy for implementing the learning of Islamic Education in Public Higher Education still needs to be developed and adapted to the needs and fields of science studied by students. b). The level of student knowledge on the subject matter of Islamic Education on average has been included in the good category. c). The implementation of learning Islamic Education has a positive impact on changing student behavior towards a better direction. d). The implementation of lectures on Islamic Education is felt to be insufficient for only one semester. Keywords: Learning, Islamic Education
