Abstract

Fanaticism and taqlid are understandings or behaviors that show the linkages experienced by a handful of people in excess or issue aggression towards something which can invite the public to jointly witness and even participate in such an activity. Fanaticism is the belief of someone who is too strong and uses less reason so he does not accept other ideas, aims to pursue something that is manifested in emotional intensity and is extreme. Fanatic behavior is shown in using thinking that is less rational by thinking exclusively, has a narrow view, and is eager to pursue certain goals, but actually this is an individual or group that has excessive behavior or understanding of something. Taqlid is a person's attitude in following the opinion of someone mujtahid or certain scholars without knowing the source and method of making such opinions clearly about a problem. Both fanaticism and taqlid attitudes are the cause of the coming of conflict and things that make radicalism understand in interacting socially are increasing because of the low tolerance behavior in interacting. The longer the more conflicts that arise due to differences of opinion make social behavior in tolerance becomes increasingly decreasing or the value of social leadership in faith weakens. Mutual respect for opinions or understanding of one another can prevent the emergence of fanatical and taqlid behaviors that cause radicalism to emerge and even increase suffering. The results of the analysis of the research that the authors have done concluded that "Weak Faith, Rich Suffering".
