Abstract

This study aims to find out what are the values of Islamic character contained in the concept of science in Islamic Higher Education, as well as how the form of mapping the values of Islamic characters in the concept of science in higher education. This type of research is a literature study, which is a study of the KKNI curriculum from Basic Competencies presented in the Basic Natural Sciences course that uses textbooks. The thing that was analyzed was a mapping of Islamic character values in the course of Basic Natural Sciences. The approach used is a qualitative approach, namely by providing a description of qualitative mapping of Islamic character values in the science concept. Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data display, and conclusing drawing / verification. The findings in this study are Islamic character values in the science concept in higher education are: spiritual, honest, disciplined, hard work, curiosity, and responsibility, respect for achievement, and tolerance, creative, fond of reading, appreciating achievement, friendly and communicative, national love, national spirit, and environmental care. The form of Islamic character values mapping is spread across the KDs which each of them follows the KI that they implement, namely KD which leads to KI religion / spiritual, social, knowledge and skills. Islamic character values from the KD that implement religious and social classes are found in all themes, while relegious character values that implement KI knowledge and skills are found in certain themes adjusting to the material.
