Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of employee welfare programs in increasing employee morale at Bengkulu's Alfamaart Bumi Ayu. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the study that: (1) The form of employee welfare programs at Alfamart that can be accepted by Alfamart employees in Bumi Ayu, Bengkulu City, namely the BPJS Health program, BPJS Employment, Old Age Allowances (THT), and Holidays Allowances (THR), which are regular programs found in other companies. (2) The work spirit of employees at Alfamart Kota Bengkulu can be created not only because of the welfare programs provided by the company to employees but also because of the family nature of their fellow employees and are always compact in carrying out all work in their daily activities. (3) Overview of Islamic Economics on the role of welfare programs is very influential on employees, especially welfare programs at Alfamart. In Islam it is not only material that assesses a person's well-being but is also judged by non-material measures; such as the fulfillment of spiritual needs, maintenance of moral values, the realization of social harmony, and peace of mind.
