Abstract
The methodology in this study is a type of field research with a qualitative descriptive approach and the methods of data collection used are structured observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were administrators of the silaturahim mosque and the community of Pinang Jawa 1 Kinal District, Kaur Regency. The results of this study indicate that the cause of the lack of community activities in utilizing the silaturahim mosque as a place of worship is internal and external factors. Internal factors are lack of public knowledge about prayer services in mosques and people busy with work. The external factor is the economy because the majority of the people of Pinang Jawa 1 village are farmers.
