Abstract

This study aims to develop a mini-ecosystem aquascape as a medium for learning biology in junior high school. To determine the feasibility of aquascape learning media in science learning ecosystem materials in junior high school. the design of the developed aquascape media is made as attractive as possible. The research method uses the Borg & Gall development model which consists of 8 stages, namely the preliminary study stage, the research planning stage, the design development stage, the initial trial stage, the initial product revision, the limited field test, the test results revision stage, the limited field stage and the first stage. the final product. This research is limited to a limited field trial phase, namely the feasibility and response of students to aquascape media. The instrument used is a validation questionnaire for the feasibility of aquascape media and student response questionnaires to aquascape media. To determine the feasibility of the product is the teacher and students of SMP class VII. The validation team (assessment) of the instrument's feasibility and principal in this study were science lecturers as validators, media experts and material experts. Language lecturers as validators of language experts. To determine the feasibility of the product are teachers and students of SMP class VII. The data from the questionnaire analysis was calculated by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of achievement of the eligibility criteria and xiii testing student responses to Aquascape Media. The results of the material experts deserve to be tested in the field with a score of 96%. While the results of the assessment from media experts stated that it was feasible to be tested in the field with a score of 84% and the results from linguists with a score of 77.7% in the very feasible category. The teacher and student response questionnaires are feasible with a score of 90.58%, while the results of the student response questionnaire assessment are very feasible with an acquisition score of 93%.
