Keywords : Edmodo, Descriptive text, writing skill There are a number of problems in this study, namely the feasibility of junior high school students Mts Al-Mubaarak Bengkulu in the 2018/2019 school year are not interested in English subjects, especially in writing skills. Some of them thought that writing in English was difficult, so they could not pour their creative ideas in English. This research was conducted to identify the influence of Edmodo media on students' ability in writing descriptive texts in class VII in Mts Al-Mubaarak Bengkulu. Specifically this study was conducted to investigate whether there was a significant influence on students' ability in writing descriptive texts between students who were taught using Edmodo media and those who did not. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, where this study uses pre-test and post-test in the exsperiment group and the control group. Two classes were selected purposively into exsperiment class and control class, the exsperiment class was taught using edmodo dean media and no control class, after treatment the results obtained using regression showed that the correlation coefficient between edmodo media and students 'abilities and using students' ability in writing dscriptive text was 0.61 while the Determination coefficient (R square) shows how far edmodo media is to students' ability to write descriptive text. R square value of 0.623 (62.3%) means that the media influence of edmodo on students' ability in writing descriptive text is 3.34%
